Cape Town Plastic Manufacturing Welcomes Amazon: A Day of Collaboration and Local Innovation

On 14 May 2025, Cape Town Plastic Manufacturing had the privilege of welcoming both local and international representatives from Amazon to our facility in Cape Town. This visit was more than a tour—it was a celebration of South African innovation, sustainability, and the power of local manufacturing.

From the moment the Amazon team stepped through our doors, we were proud to showcase the inner workings of our operations. The visit began with a walk-through of our production floor, where we demonstrated how we manufacture high-quality plastic components used in a range of products for Creative Housewares, as well as bespoke items produced for other local businesses. It was an opportunity to highlight not only our technical capabilities, but also our commitment to supporting and empowering South African industries.

One of the key focuses of the day was sustainability. We shared the steps we’ve taken to minimise our environmental impact—from energy-efficient practices to responsible waste management—and how these initiatives are benefiting both our business and the surrounding community. The Amazon team expressed genuine interest in the innovation and purpose that drive our operations, and the conversations that followed were both insightful and inspiring.
